Full Stack Engineer

FULL-TIME, Remote - United States

Position Overview

Medality is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer who is not only technically skilled but also passionate about making a meaningful difference. You will play a key role in developing applications that help doctors improve the quality of life for their patients. In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications. We value engineers who bring curiosity, creativity, and a drive to deliver high-impact solutions in the medical education space.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Python (Django) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React).

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, bringing strong communication and interpersonal skills to every project.

  • Work with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical solutions that meaningfully impact patients’ lives.

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while following best practices.

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services where needed.

  • Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and security.

  • Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and team learning initiatives.

  • Proactively identify problems and propose thoughtful solutions with a resourceful, can-do attitude

Skills & Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Django for backend development.

  • Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for frontend development.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a resourceful mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — and the ability to explain complex ideas simply.

  • Demonstrated experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient understanding of relational databases, preferably MySQL.

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, modern web standards, and UI/UX best practices.

  • A passion for healthcare innovation and making a positive impact on patient outcomes.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
